As a visual artist outside the salon, Madelaine often applies her creative talents to her work as a Master Stylist. She has been a Stylist for more than 30 years. She studied the Vidal Sassoon method of precision and geometric cutting. She combines her salon training with an artistic eye to create hairstyles that complement her client's features, striving to create styles that are easy to manage and care for.

Madelaine apprenticed at OM Design in Lexington and opened Lexington's first all-Aveda salon (Ivos-Ishmael Salon). Her work was showcased in a "Spotted on the Street" feature in Glamour Magazine in the 1990's.

Madelaine specializes in cuts, color and special occasion styles. She strives to stay on top of the current trends. Madelaine enjoys all aspects of Cosmetology and is available several days per week to offer our salon guests not only hair services, but also Manicures, Pedicures, Facials, and Body Scrubs and Wraps.

Registered Yoga Teacher:

Madelaine’s life was transformed the first time she practiced yoga in 1998. Having struggled with OCD, ADHD, depression and anxiety and a lot of physical pain in her joints, Madelaine began what would become a healing journey that led her to want to share the practice with others. Having studied with some of the country’s most influential master teachers, Madelaine was exposed to many styles and lineages of yoga. Some of the teachers that she studied with include: Tias Little, Ashley Turner, Douglas Keller, and David Regelin. And she was greatly influenced by intensive studies with Sianna Sherman (who began her own school of yoga called Rasa Yoga).

Madelaine is a certified Anusara yoga teacher and has been teaching for 15 years. Madelaine’s teaching style is a blend of playfulness and strength with attention to alignment and intelligent sequencing informed by the sacred geometry, myth, shadow work and exploring feelings stored in the body. Her intention as a teacher is to inspire people towards their personal growth as she continues to work on her own. She is available for Yoga Events and private lessons.
