Licensed Psychologist
Welcome! My name is Alicia Fedewa and I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Kentucky with over 15 years of mental health experience. I received my Doctoral degree from Michigan State University and have experience in hospitals, public schools and long-term care facilities providing mental health therapy to youth and adults. I’ve worked as a Professor and Director of the School Psychology program at the University of Kentucky for over 12 years and have published more than 40 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and a textbook on Best Practices in Counseling and Therapy with Children, Adolescents and Families.

Life can throw us curve balls. Sometimes, even the strongest people amongst us need a little bit of help to work through some of life’s more challenging problems. Whether it be trauma, anxiety, depression, parenting, a life transition, or something else, you should know that change is absolutely possible.
In therapy I combine my two greatest passions: learning and helping others. I take a holistic, integrative, and evidence-based approach in my practice. I love to stay on top of the research to ensure my practice reflects what will be most helpful to you. With a blend of humor, creativity, and compassion in a non-judgmental space, I know we can figure it out together.
